Plague Dr Duck

Step aside, ordinary quacks—the Plague Doctor-Duck has arrived to purge the marshlands of bad humors and foul miasmas. Swaddled in a waxed-leather trench coat with a miniature wide-brimmed hat perched atop oiled plumage, this feathered apothecary sports an already beak-shaped mask pre-stuffed with dried lavender, dried sage, and breadcrumbs. Brandishing a tiny wooden cane beneath one wing to poke suspiciously at floating algae, he waddles grimly through murky ponds dispensing cryptic, hollow quacks and questionable leeches. Equal parts medieval dread and waterproof stoicism, he’s the only physician whose bedside manner is entirely water-repellent.
